Generate API Key in WordPress Backend

First ensure your Yali AI Article Writer plugin is activated and authorized, then go to backend to generate the API Key for extension connection.

Operation Path:
  1. Login to WordPress backend
  2. Yali AI Writer → Extension Connection
  3. Generate API Key
  4. ⚠️ Copy Now Display 32-digit key (shown only once!)
Authorization Requirement:Generating API Key requires the plugin to be in authorized status. If not authorized, please complete authorization activation first.

Install Extension and Establish Connection

Download extension ZIP package and load it into Chrome/Edge browser, use the copied API Key to establish a secure connection.

Connection Steps:
  1. Download Extension ZIP and extract
  2. Open Chrome/Edge extension management page (chrome://extensions/)
  3. Enable "Developer Mode" and click "Load unpacked extension"."
  4. Select the extracted dist folder
  5. Open extension sidebar, fill in:
    Site URL: Your website domain
    API Key: The key you just copied
  6. Connect & Sync
Tip:Site URL should be your website homepage URL (e.g.:https://www.yaliai.com/en）
Connection Verification:In WordPress backend"Extension Connection"page, click"Initiate connection verification request"button to test if extension is successfully connected.

Collaboration Workflow:
  1. Create knowledge base in extension (file type or web scraping)
  2. Upload PDF/DOCX documents, or one-click save current webpage
  3. Extension automatically extracts content and builds vector and full-text indexes
  4. When generating articles in plugin, enable"Local Knowledge Base Search"feature
  5. Extension automatically receives tasks, executes RAG search and returns AI-generated reference materials
  6. Plugin generates professional articles based on reference materials returned by extension
💡 Tip.Keeping the extension sidebar open ensures timely task response. The extension polls pending tasks every 5 seconds.
